OK, so im finally out of my emo phase!! and i'm HAPPEH WoOHOO!yea, that was kinda weird, but i haven't been able to submit anything on DA for a while. my mom is still stuck in the living room on the couch, so i can't go on the computer in there, and the only other two computers in the house are dad's work laptop and the broken, virus-invaded one. oh well, i've been sneaking on in the school library, so all is well!!

also, it is FINALLY SNOWING!! I AM SO HAPPY!! we had a green christmas up in pittsburgh, so now that we are getting some snow, i feel invincibly happy. i dunno, maybe i'm just high. not even this week's midterms bothered me. yea, i just finished midterms, which were insultingly easy, and i am getting more into art now.
i am setting up a portfolio for a local art show, and i was the only one in my class who didn't base the style of our biggest project, an acrylic portrait, off of a famous artist's style. instead, i found this wicked-awesome picture of a Native American in ceremonial clothes and took up a week figuring out which tribe the guy belonged to. i found out it was shoshone-bannock, and kept researching from there. now i am debating between two other subjects for a second painting. if i can figure out how to send around a poll, but in the meantime, i'll ask here: my two ideas are a kachina, the spirits believed in by the Hopi tribe (correct me if i'm wrong, plz, i take pains to be politically correct), or a black-and-white picture i found of a girl with poofy lolita bangs wearing a kitty-ear hat. either one of those would be fun!!

my other art-related question was: i am working on a drawing of a lolita-girl in seven-eighths view (from the back, as if looking at the back of her left shoulder), from head to platform corset boots. but i can't find any references!! T_T i have looked all over the internet and in about three art books, but i can't find anything. so if anyone has any helpful ideas, please tell me soon.

now for the laughable part... i can now say in school that i'm doing Ritalin!!! XD no seriously, we have to do reports on different illegal or abused drugs, and i was given Ritalin. (i relly wanted Magic Mushrooms, cuz of the name) so now there's a big joke in the school:
"i'm doing crack. what are you doing?"
"i'm doing weed."
"sweet. got any in your locker?"
and on and on. it's kinda funny.
